The Green Mountain Burger

This burger is different: the Green Mountain Burger is the first meat-free burger developed and made in Switzerland. It tastes like a meat burger and can also be prepared for any cooking preference. Purely plant-based and made mainly from pea protein and coconut fat, the burger is a genuine alternative for anyone who occasionally wants to make a conscious choice not to eat meat.

The Green Mountain Burger is the test winner!

In the "Kassensturz tasting", our THE GREEN MOUNTAIN Burger was voted the test winner. It was the only one of the ten burgers tasted to achieve a grade better than "sufficient". THE GREEN MOUNTAIN Burger received much praise for its harmonious taste and juicy, meaty texture.

Its advantages at a glace:

  • Full enjoyment - based on pea protein and coconut fat

  • Nice and juicy, "bleeds" when roasted
  • Can be prepared in different cooking stages

Tips & tricks for the preparation

In tilting ladle / frying pan:

  • Important: the tilting ladle / frying pan must never be to hot. 
  • Fry the burger for approx. 2 minutes on each side until the red juice runs out (=medium). 
  • The preparation time varies depending on the temperature and whether the patty is still frozen or defrosted.


On the gas- or charcoal barbecue

  • On the grill, THE GREEN MOUNTAIN Burger works best when frozen.
  • Place over a medium heat and cook for approx. 2-3 minutes on each side until the juices run out.


In combination steamer / convection oven: 

  • Important: Defrost the burgers in advance and use grill or roasting trays.
  • Place the burgers on the cold trays, place the trays in the combi steamer preheated to 250 degrees and grill for 3 minutes (medium). Set the fan to maximum and open the steam vent.
  • Remove from the tray and continue to process upside down.
  • Serve immediately.
